DOGEATERS REMIX revisits Jessica Hagedorn’s 1990 novel "Dogeaters", a novel which intersects characters across class, gender, and generations as a means of interrogating the Americanization of Filipino identity.

“Winter Smiley (aka Julie Choo) is a multidisciplinary DIY-er born in San Diego, raised in Texas, and currently based in Escondido. They make things, teach things, learn things, and dismantle things best in collaboration with others. Julie’s work takes on too many forms to count, but are all guided by a punk spirit and rooted in accountability to revolutionary praxis that involves genuine care, collaboration, and curiosity. Currently, they are part of Homegrown Youth Collaborative, an intergenerational, grassroots co-learning space for young people in San Diego and Tijuana.”
